1. About these terms
These terms cover your use of Carer Badge. Carer Badge is a trading name of TRG Digital Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 11731704, at Suite Ra01, 195-197 Wood Street, London, England, E17 3NU. By building a profile or using the website you accept these terms.
2. What we do
We let carers and nurses build a profile that CQC-registered care employers can search, and we introduce you to an employer when you both agree. We don’t employ you, we aren’t a party to any job you take, and we don’t guarantee that an employer will contact you or offer you work.
3. Free for carers and nurses
We never charge carers or nurses for building a profile, for introductions or for finding work. Employers pay us.
4. Your profile
You agree that what you put in your profile is true and up to date, that it’s about you, and that it doesn’t include anyone else’s personal details or anything offensive. We may refuse, hide or remove a profile that breaks these terms or fails our checks.
You can pause or delete your profile at any time.
5. Our checks
We confirm mobile numbers and email addresses, check nurses’ PINs against the NMC register, and show when someone has completed the free Care Certificate course with CareStream. We don’t check DBS, references, identity or right to work documents. Employers must carry out their own pre-employment checks.
6. The free Care Certificate course
The course is provided by CareStream under its own terms. A CareStream certificate shows you completed the course. It isn’t a qualification and doesn’t show competence on its own: the observed parts of the Care Certificate are assessed by your employer.
7. Employers
Employers who search profiles do so under separate terms with us. Searching is free for them, and they pay us when they ask to talk to someone. Those terms cover the fees, how they use carers’ details, and their duties as an employer of people who work with vulnerable adults. Information for employers.
8. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights. Otherwise we aren’t responsible for what an employer does or doesn’t do, or for any loss of earnings or opportunity arising from use of the website.
9. Your information
Our privacy notice explains how we use your information.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
